Digital Live Board Preview Tool

Role: UX Design & Full Stack Development

The Preview Tool is a project that I designed, architected and built based on data that I received from Outfront Media's Creative Technology department.

It allows advertisers to remotely test whether their advertisements are compatible with Outfront Media's various digital advertising boards. It also allows them to view their ads in a realistic environment without having to visit Outfront's office to test their ad in person. This was especially important during the pandemic.

The preview tool's features include error handling that covers a file's size, dimensions, a file's length (if the file is a video), whether there are different file types (in the case of the triptych screens), whether a file type is supported, and whether an asset's file type is correct.

The preview tool also has built in video playback, temporarily stores files for a few days, and allows uploads to be shared via link.
